An all-Dick Vaughn experience this week - Dr. Oslo Norway brings on Dick himself to have a quick chat about this spotlight on various projects Dick has brought to Over The Edge over the last decade. The audience-infuriating California Superstation is played to great lengths, as well as The Perfect Cut (b-side to 1989's Helter Stupid), a radio-industry-oriented Negativland performance piece. We finish off with Moribund Music of the 70s, which was the 1984-era Over the Edge show that first set off the 1970s nostalgia train, a mere handful of years after the 1970s were over.
After each chapter of repeats, Norway pipes in for station identification and a few quick words about Dick, who has rung off at the beginning of the show to go to sleep. The show finishes up with the next-week fallout of the Moribund Music debut with audience members honestly annoyed or thrilled such a 1970's van-driving wave crashed on their audio shores.
